As I knelt to take this picture yesterday, I was chastised severely by a squirrel. He did not like that I had frightened all the faeries back into their hiding place. I am sorry I missed seeing them. Perhaps tomorrow.
Utterly delightful. Both the images and the story to go with them. I suspect I might have done some chastising, too, if you had frightened all the faeries away.
This is squirrel heaven. Or hell, if you talk to my neighbor across the street. Wren would have a full day of lesson-teaching. When I walk my dog Phoebe, she likes to pretend that she could catch one, if not for the leash. Not a chance. The squirrels are quite provocative, if you ask me.
Great Photos MK. Very cute squirrel too! 🙂

The squirrels in my neighborhood are very territorial, and aren’t shy about keeping humans & dogs in our place (which is away from their place).
Thanks Karen!

I did frighten the faeries! Shoot! I didn’t see them. But at least I didn’t step on any of them.

They are cheeky, those squirrels. Wren would love to teach them a lesson or two, good luck on that one! 😉
