LACMA 2018.005

A visit yesterday to one of “my” museums — the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

Many art lovers prefer snappy shoes. (I am a rare exception to this rule.)

The other common theme is palm trees. Art lovers seem to favor palm trees.

    1. The palms do thrive here, that’s for sure, David. And Everything will smile when the rains come.

  2. Fun captures. I’ve always thought of extra high heels as instruments of torture. It baffles me why a woman would willingly put them on, let alone walk for hours in them. 😉

    1. So true, those shoes don’t really qualify as shoes, seems to me. Like tying a ribbon on your feet & calling it footwear. Really? The little girl, though, she can pull off sensible AND glamorous shoes.

      1. I would have died for a pair like that at her age. I loved all that glittery, fanciful stuff as a kid. 🙂

  3. I just don’t get those high heels. The ones in your photo are especially dorky looking (IMHO)! 😀 I’m probably turning into an old curmudgeon (though I can’t say I’ve ever seen any sense in high heels.)

    1. Can you imagine any shoe so utterly impractical being created for, and worn by, men???

      1. In a word- NO! But then why on earth do women actually wear them? Something I’ll never understand.
