  2. A truly great catch! Loved the comment that compared it to a rose window. Mother Nature at her best and you there to capture it.

    1. Wow, thanks very much Gunta. Perhaps many mornings in Tennessee are misty and mysterious. I don’t know. I was only there one week, but the atmosphere & landscape make some good magic together.

      1. For the most part MK! We are in semi rural aka country suburbs, 20 miles west of Philadelphia. The best of both worlds ☺️

  6. How did I miss this one? I usually get your posts in my inbox, but this one didn’t go there. I swear, WP goes wonky every August. They’ve been dumping comments into spam folders again. 😦 So aggravating!
At any rate, this is LOVELY, even if I see it 3 weeks later. πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks Eliza! I like that fact that it’s nearly B&W except for golden light of morning.
I hate it when someone does an “enhancement” to software. Back in the day, we always joked “oh, that’s not a bug, it’s a feature”.
BTW, that big “Blue Cut Fire” is in one of the 2 forest places we take the dogs. I’m not sure if the fire actually burned our dog walk zone, or if its further up the canyon. So, I’ll be doing a post on it — as soon as they let people go back in there.

      1. I wondered how close it was to you. Are you nervous about being so close to the mountains? There isn’t much of a buffer between you and the hills.

        1. It’s 20 miles from home to the place in San Bernardino National Forest where we walk the dogs and where this particular fire is. It’s only 4 miles from home to the other place we walk the dogs, in the Angeles National Forest. I confess that these fires make me think about how close we are to the forest in the nearby mountains. It concerns me. Although we’re constrained to two days per week watering, I have recently turned on our sprinklers to run every night for 10 minutes per section. With our vacation coming, I don’t want to leave a dry crispy yard and dry crispy trees.
