In honor of Internet Slowdown Day, I’m offering this portrait of a lovely butterfly in Madrid’s botanical gardens. She’s got freedom to roam.
If you’re so inclined, here are some phone numbers to reach people in the U.S. Government. You can offer your opinion on the Federal Communication Commission’s proposed rule changes that would affect net neutrality.
- White House
- Senate
- Representatives
- FCC phone – 1-888-225-5322
- FCC email – openinternet@fcc.gov.
“The Commission is considering proposed rules to protect an Open Internet.” [Liar liar pants on fire] “The proposed rules ask questions about how best to ensure the Internet remains an open platform for innovation and expression.
Chairman Wheeler is encouraging the public to share their views now. He intends to have rules of the road in place before the end of the year to protect consumers and entrepreneurs. He will be listening, and your comments will help inform the final rules. Please send your thoughts to openinternet@fcc.gov.”
Beautiful photo.. I’m for net neutrality also!!

Thanks Lynne. I too would rather have the adventuresome road without guardrails!

I believe that in the last protest (the SOPA issue) the FCC website got so much “input” that it crashed. Hope it happens again.
