Admirable

DSC_7493_edited-1Isn’t this Egret just too admirable?  Speaking of admirable animals, did you see the article about the empathetic embraces that elephants show one another when one is in distress?   HERE IT IS.

  4. Thank you Gunta. They are such willing models, as long as you don’t venture too near their fishing spots.

  5. The moment of launch… the egret seems to be floating on tiptoe into flight. Very nice!

  9. I clicked the link and got lost in NG videos, one leads to another! Humans are slow to recognize that animals have intelligence. Our collective ego insists that we are the best at everything – what a laugh. Thanks for the link.

    1. Isn’t that funny that we think that We Are IT? Like, the single flower in my vase outshines all the wildflowers on the roadside. I can’t remember which country (Iceland?) which has moved to give dolphins the legal protections of personhood.

      1. Contrast that with the US that grants corporations personhood…what’s wrong with this picture? (Yikes, I’m getting pretty cynical here, got to change my vibe!) 🙂

        1. Ooooh, visualize a corporation at the edge of taking flight, like the egret. Scarey.

          1. Okay, one more cynical comment and then that’s it…Honey, look around you, they have already taken flight! The good news is, they depend on us for their fuel.
