The Marbled Godwit summers in Canada and winters on California beaches. Seems like a pretty good lifestyle.

    1. I don’t know, really. I guess they use those long beaks in the marshes in Canada. Here in Southern California along the beach I see tiny crab-like creatures that burrow into the wet sand.

      1. Maybe snails too? I was in Long Beach last year and girl jumped up screaming when one crawled on her leg. ha

  2. That’s funny. I would do the same. Even pictures of beautiful insects kind of creep me out.
