This lizard stayed motionless all evening as I first noticed him, then took his picture, then chatted with my neighbor, then finally went home when it got dark. Poor little guy, I am sure he didn’t enjoy our company.

Great capture! How on earth did you get it without him running away? You must have a super zoom lens!

Actually, I was touring my yard with my macro lens, trying to catch bees. This little guy was in my neighbor’s yard, and once spotted was too frightened to move. I was right next to him for about a half hour!

Wow, that is so cool…hanging out with one of your ‘little neighbors’ – what a privilege!

It is a privilege, for sure. I feel privileged by every bee and bird and squirrel.

Well, he didn’t know that there was No Way I would actually touch him. Ick.

Slithery? Seeing just the head, it looks almost like a snake.

I thought it was a snake too, until I saw his little legs.

Thank you Sue. If he really believed we wouldn’t hurt him, he’d just mosey off to catch a bug. But he kept his eye on us the whole evening.
